Corruption is not what general public think! It has some different mean when it is applied to politicians and bureaucrats. Last day while dismissing the appeal of a conductor Supreme Court held that for corruption dismissal from services is a fit punishment. His fault was in two cases in one year he did not give tickets to about 25 passengers and pocketed the fare charges. Since it is a judgment by Apex court one may write so many things and express one’s views but ultimately it is last word unless and until larger Bench of the Apex court sets it aside.
In this respect I would like to know from Chief Minister of M.P. about his opinion and action in respect of bureaucrats and high profile officers and ministers who are involved in corruption of huge amounts not less than crorers of rupees. Few bureaucrats who are involved in corruption were not suspended and sent to Board of Revenue where Orders and Judgments are given with reference to Land Revenue Code and some other Acts. Does the Board of Revenue is a Line like Line in police department where defaulter police officers are attached there for some time so that public may forget the mal activates of such bureaucrats? Officers from whom Crorers of rupees are recovered are not taken to task. What love is for them dear Chief Minister? Lokayukta is finding difficult to file Charge sheets against so many officers for want of sanction from the government. In one case when Governor Bhai Mahaveer suo motu sent for file and grant sanction for prosecution. The then Digvijay Sing government challenged the order and the Supreme Court said that the action of the Governor was right and was within the constitutional limits.
The Governor is not a puppet in the hands of the state government. He should call for the files and give sanction en lot against the delinquent officers. Other part of corruption is Bhu Mafia and it is being protected in the auspices of the present government in whole state. The Cooperative department is perhaps most corrupt department through which the Bhu Mafia harvest black money and for that gets fertilizer of political protection and immunity from the clutches of law. No action has been taken against the Chairmen of so many Development authorities and ministers also. Even then the Chief Minister can dare to speak loud against corruption. Dear readers out side M.P. how you find about corruption in respective states? In M.P. in every walk of life we have lot of coruption, we like it. It is a collective activity of the government servants and officers.
